Denomme's hat trick boosts LaSalle over St. Thomas, 7-3

A hat trick by Dylan Denomme was the highlight in Vipers' 7-3 win against the St. Thomas Stars.

Denomme notched his first tally 14:10 into the second period. He then added goals at 1:05 into the third and at 16:22 into the third.

The win by the LaSalle Vipers clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

LaSalle stifled St. Thomas' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Vipers' offense rang up 42 shots on the Stars' net.

LaSalle additionally got points from Blake Jones, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Aaron Luchuk, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Devon Paliani, who also had one goal and one assist. LaSalle also got a goal from Andrew Burns as well. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Zack Percy, who had two and Liam Murray, Austin Hall, Mark Manchurek, Nathan Savage, and Bryce Mayea, who contributed one a piece.

St. Thomas kept LaSalle's goalie busy throughout the game, and Paolo Battisti made 38 saves on 41 shots.

The Stars were helped by Alex Morgan, who grabbed one goal. Morgan scored 17:31 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Matt Simsons picked up the assist. St. Thomas also had goals scored by Spencer Hutchinson and Chris Carreiro, who each put in one. More assists for St. Thomas came via Lucas Triemstra, Carson Moniz, Aiden Jamieson, and Josh Coyle, who each chipped in one.

The Vipers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nikolas Dampier recorded 35 saves for St. Thomas. The Stars incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
