Elmira beats Brampton 3-0 as Reinhart gains shutout

Jonathan Reinhart was superb between the pipes for the Elmira Sugar Kings, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Brampton Bombers.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Brampton faces elimination next time out.

Cass Frey was all over the ice for Elmira, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Frey scored the first of his two goals at 19:50 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Elmira. Brodie Whitehead picked up the assist. Frey's next tally made the score 3-0 Elmira with 11:07 left in the second period. David Savery assisted on the tally.

The Sugar Kings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Brampton power plays. Elmira kept the Bombers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Scott Patton made 31 saves on 34 shots.

Elmira also got a goal from Adam Brubacher as well. Other players who recorded assists for Elmira were Rob Kohli, who had one and Zac Coulter, who had two.

Brampton stifled the Sugar Kings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Jonathan Reinhart made 29 saves for Elmira on 29 shots. The Sugar Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Bombers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
