Kitchener downs Listowel in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Jordan Delaurier gave the Kitchener Dutchmen a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Listowel Cyclones when he scored 3:01 into the extra period.

The win by Kitchener clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Dutchmen were led by Delaurier, who grabbed one goal.

In a losing effort, Listowel was paced by Derek Elliot, who finished with two goals. Elliot scored the first of his two goals short handed at 5:27 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Cyclones were on a disadvantage when Ray McFalls went off the ice for tripping. Chad Lemire picked up the assist. Elliot's next tally short handed made the score 3-2 Kitchener with 11:52 left in the second period. Listowel had gained a power play chance when Jacob Cascagnette was whistled for high sticking. Tim Nauta assisted on the tally.

Kitchener forced the Cyclones goalie Daniel Dekoning to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Kitchener additionally got points from Adam Kawalec, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Kitchener included Jared Gilbert and Connor Cole, who scored one goal each. In addition, Kitchener received assists from Clayton Greer, who had two and Marc Williams, Mac Nichol, Keegan Calder, and Keli Grant, who each chipped in one.

Listowel's offense rang up 33 shots on the Dutchmen's net.

Reid Simmons also scored for Listowel. More assists for Listowel came via Sam Harris, who had one and Blake Nichol, who had two.

Kitchener's Williams stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Dutchmen incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Daniel Dekoning made 40 saves for the Cyclones on 44 shots. Listowel incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
