Hill-Murray rips Lakeville South, 6-0

Joey Anderson was all over the ice for the Hill-Murray Pioneers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Hill-Murray's 6-0 win over the Lakeville South Cougars.

Anderson scored at 10 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hill-Murray and again while 15:09 into the third to make the score 6-0 Hill-Murray.

The Pioneers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Lakeville South power plays. Hill-Murray's defensive effort looked to be improved. The Pioneers allow 3.0 goals per game. Hill-Murray kept Lakeville South's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Swail made 33 saves on 39 shots.

Hill-Murray also had goals scored by Zach Mills, who had two and Casey Staum and Tyler Nowak, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Hill-Murray were Tyler Funk, who had three and Logan Sharp, Jacob Olson, and Mitch Slattery, who contributed one a piece.

The Cougars' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Lakeville South is averaging 0.0 goals against for the season. The Cougars did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Sam Ilgen made 21 saves for the Pioneers on 21 shots. Hill-Murray incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
