Huge game by Hazlett boosts Lakeville North over Burnsville, 5-2

Behind a great game by Tristan Hazlett, who had one goal and two assists, the Lakeville North Panthers defeated the Burnsville Blaze, 5-2.

Hazlett scored 12:34 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lakeville North. Max Johnson picked up the assist. Hazlett dished an assist on Connor Hyden's goal that made the score 1-0 Lakeville North at 6:50 into the first period. He added another helper on Johnson's goal that made the score 4-0 Lakeville North at 14:54 into the second period.

Burnsville was unable to stop Lakeville North from sending pucks towards the net, and the Panthers eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Lakeville North also got points from Jack Poehling, who also had one goal and one assist and Johnson, who also registered one goal and two assists. Nick Poehling also scored for Lakeville North. Other players who recorded assists for Lakeville North were Jared Inserra, Logan Severson, and Luke Seper, who each chipped in one.

The Blaze were held below their usual level of production. Burnsville averages 5.0 goals per game.

The Blaze were led by Cole Borchardt, who tallied one goal. Borchardt scored 8:05 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lakeville North. Sam Dockry provided the assist. Burnsville also got a goal from Eric Otto as well. More assists for Burnsville came via Brock Boesser and Nick DiGregorio, who contributed one a piece.

Will Dupont made 20 saves for Lakeville North on 22 shots. The Panthers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Dylan Lubbesmeyer rejected 30 shots on goal for Burnsville. The Blaze totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
