Wayzata was led by Jack Sorensen, who had one goal and one assist. Sorensen scored 4:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wayzata. Luke Paterson provided the assist. Hermantown was unable to stop the Trojans from sending pucks towards the net, and Wayzata eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The Trojans outdid their season average for goals scored.
