Leafs downs Bruins, 3-1

Milan Lucic had two points to lead Leafs to a 3-1 victory over Bruins.

Leafs outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Leafs averages 0.9 goals per contest.

Leafs also got a goal from Ray Bourque as well. Other players who recorded assists for Leafs were Bobby Orr, Cody Vinnai, and Josh Scott, who each chipped in one.

Bruins managed to stay out of the box for the most part, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. However, the total the 1.0 minutes in penalty time per game Bruins had been averaging this year. Bruins' normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. Bruins is averaging 0.8 goals against for the season.

Bruins was led by Paul Kessell, who scored the team's only goal. Kessell scored short handed four seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Bruins found itself down a man on Geoffry Lupel's holding. Dion Pfaneuf picked up the assist.

Leafs ended with no penalties and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Bruins registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
