Kaske's hat trick boosts Benilde St. Margarets over Burnsville, 5-4

A hat trick by Mark Kaske was the highlight in the Red Knights' 5-4 win against the Burnsville Blaze.

Kaske got on the scoresheet 1:39 into the second period with a short-handed tally and added another at 5:48 of the middle frame. He complete his hat trick with the eventual game-winning goal 5:14 into the third.

 

Benilde-St. Margarets additionally got points from Chase Jungels, who also had one goal and one assist. Spencer Naas also scored for Benilde St. Margarets. More assists for the Red Knights came via Carter Roo, who had three and Johnny Austin, Peter Heimbold, Evan Fleming, and Nick Austin, who each chipped in one.

The Blaze was led by Brock Boesser, who racked up two goals and one assist. Boesser scored the first of his two goals 9:17 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Benilde-St. Margarets. Cole Borchardt picked up the assist. Boesser's next tally made the score 4-3 Benilde-St. Margarets with 8:54 left in the second period. Borchardt provided the assist.

Burnsville also got points from Will Missling, who also registered one goal and one assist. Burnsville also got a goal from Jack Ahcan as well. Eric Otto also added an assist.

The Red Knights' Jalen Long stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Benilde-St. Margarets incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Dylan Lubbesmeyer made 24 saves for Burnsville on 29 shots. The Blaze incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
