The Arizona Sundogs almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Denver Cutthroats managed to pull out a 4-3 win in the end. Denver led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Cutthroats' Daniel Barczuk's scored at 3:51 in the second period to put Denver up 3-0. Garrett Bembridge was all over the ice for the Cutthroats, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Bembridge scored 8:59 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Denver.
