London downs St. Catharines in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Sean Consitt gave the London Nationals a 5-4 (OT) victory over the St. Catharines Falcons when he scored 1:01 into the extra period.

Matt Fuller had two goals to lead London to victory. Fuller scored at 19:00 into the first period to make the score 2-2 and again while on the power play 5:28 into the second to make the score 3-3.

The Nationals pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 24 penalty minutes.

London's offense rang up 35 shots on St. Catharines' net. The Nationals were held back by their power play unit, which tallied two goals on 15 chances. London's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

London additionally got points from Noah Schwartz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Consitt, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. London also got a goal from Paul Hopkins as well. In addition, London received assists from Tyler Bryden, who had two and Lance Pridham, Shawn Crowley, Ryan Wells, and Blake Thomas, who each chipped in one.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The Falcons were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 52 penalty minutes.

St. Catharines was led by Julian Luciani, who tallied one goal and two assists. Luciani scored on the power play 3:25 into the second period to make the score 3-2 St. Catharines. The Falcons had gotten the advantage when the Nationals' Pridham was sent off for slashing. Jimmy Sheehan provided the assist. St. Catharines also got points from Dan MacEachern, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Tyler Jackson also scored for St. Catharines. More assists for St. Catharines came via Ben Walsh, who had two and Yanni Rallis and Jesse Miller, who contributed one a piece.

Taylor Edwards rejected 20 shots on goal for London. Jonathon D Ilario recorded 30 saves for St. Catharines. The Falcons registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. For St. Catharines, Brad Col was ejected from the game.
