London downs Cambridge in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The London Nationals pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Cambridge Winter Hawks on a clutch goal by Lance Pridham.

London was led by Pridham, who racked up one goal. Pridham scored 4:01 into overtime to make the score 3-2 London. Aaron Dartch picked up the assist.

The Nationals excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. London kept Cambridge's goalie busy throughout the game, and Lucas Machalski made 45 saves on 48 shots.

London also got a goal from Tyler Bryden as well. Other players who recorded assists for London were Noah Schwartz, Blake Thomas, and Jeff Bauer, who contributed one a piece.

The Winter Hawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Nationals to score on any of their five power plays. London was unable to stop Cambridge from sending pucks towards the net, and the Winter Hawks eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Cambridge was helped by Tyler Snyder, who registered one goal and one assist. Snyder scored 14:32 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cambridge. Cameron Pentsa assisted on the tally. Cambridge also got points from Cody Gratton, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Cambridge received assists from Kyle Locke, who had one.

Taylor Edwards rejected 29 shots on goal for the Nationals. London incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Winter Hawks incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
