Behind a great game by Mitch Atkins, who had two goals and two assists, the Paris Mounties defeated the Woodstock Navy Vets, 6-3. Atkins' tallies came at 2:14 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Paris and 4:24 into the third to make the score 4-3 Paris.After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Woodstock faces elimination next time out. Paris' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Woodstock power plays. The Navy Vets were unable to stop the Mounties from sending pucks towards the net, and Paris eventually piled up 53 shots on goal. Paris also got points from Joel Hoekstra, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Brandan Verasamy, who also registered two goals and one assist. Jimmy Spielvogel also scored for Paris. In addition, Paris received assists from Mitchell Harvey, Brendon Skidmore, Jeff Howlett, and Ian Fowler, who each chipped in one and Kyle Bezruki and Alex Cameron, who contributed two a piece. Woodstock was helped by Darcey Butler, who tallied one goal. Butler scored 3:30 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Christian Babb picked up the assist. Woodstock additionally got points from Mackenzie Langford, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Woodstock also got a goal from Nick Zehr as well. Other players who recorded assists for Woodstock were Bryce Cadwell, who had one. Andrew Masters made 24 saves for the Mounties on 27 shots. Paris incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Michael Roefs rejected 47 shots on goal for the Navy Vets. Woodstock incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
