Champlin Park blows out Cambridge/Isanti, 6-2Isanti County Area Civic Arena Tue, Jan 08, 2013 The Champlin Park Rebels were firing on all cylinders against the Cambridge/Isanti Bluejackets, and when the final buzzer sounded Rebels emerged with a 6-2 win. Champlin Park was led by Danny Eggerichs, who had one goal and one assist. Eggerichs scored 18 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 Champlin Park. Jordan Baker assisted on the tally. The Rebels kept Cambridge/Isanti's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jacob Sibell made 42 saves on 48 shots. Champlin Park surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Rebels average 2.4 goals per contest. Champlin Park also got points from Michael Borrell, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Calvin Spencer, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Champlin Park also got a goal from Reese Woods as well. In addition, Champlin Park received assists from Bryce Plunkett, who had two and Nick Schmidke and Dan Kielb, who contributed one a piece. The Bluejackets forced Champlin Park goalie Grant Schuenke to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Cambridge/Isanti was led by Veeti Uuttera, who registered one goal and one assist. Uuttera scored 16:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Matt Derby also scored for Cambridge/Isanti. Other players who recorded assists for Cambridge/Isanti were Collin Anderson, who had one. Schuenke rejected 39 shots on goal for the Rebels. Champlin Park incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Bluejackets incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
