McLain nets hat trick, leads Delano/Rockford to 6-2 win over St. Michael-AlbertvilleSTMA Gold Thu, Dec 20, 2012 Adam McLain lifted the Delano/Rockford Tigers to a 6-2 victory with a hat trick against the St. Michael-Albertville Knights. McLain's first goal came 12:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:53 into the third and at 5:58 into the third.Delano/Rockford stifled St. Michael-Albertville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Knights were unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Delano/Rockford eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The Tigers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. Delano/Rockford also got points from Justin Oja, who also finished with one goal and three assists and Eric Ylitalo, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Nate Meyers also scored for Delano/Rockford. In addition, Delano/Rockford received assists from Josh Dzurik, who had one and Mike Krueger, who had two. St. Michael-Albertville was helped by Matt Kisch, who registered one goal. Kisch scored 14:25 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Delano/Rockford. David Anderson picked up the assist. St. Michael-Albertville additionally got points from Anderson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michael-Albertville were Connor Spetz, who had one and Jon Gibbs, who had two. Aaron Grangroth rejected 23 shots on goal for Delano/Rockford.
