A hat trick by Colton Jones was the highlight in Moose's 6-4 win against the Hutchinson Tigers.

Jones' first goal came 15:30 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:29 into the third and at 16:50 into the third.

The Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake Moose's penalty kill unit could not stop Hutchinson's power play, which converted on three of five opportunities.

Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake also got points from Spencer Nelson, who also had one goal and one assist, Resse Carstens, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Alex Schumacher, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake received assists from Tyler Mros, who had one.

The Tigers forced Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake goalie Austin LeBrun to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Hutchinson's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

The Tigers were led by Matthew Cowger, who registered two goals. Cowger scored the first of his two goals at 9:53 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Austin Mandelkow assisted on the tally. Cowger's next tally made the score 4-4 with 6:12 left in the third period. Hutchinson earned a power play opportunity when Mark Rieger-Borer was put in the box for roughing. Logan Goosen picked up the assist. Hutchinson additionally got points from Goosen, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Hutchinson also got a goal from Keegan Maceman as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hutchinson were Alec Maher and Tory Adams, who contributed one a piece.

Austin LeBrun made 28 saves for the Moose on 32 shots. Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake totaled 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Kellyn Buss rejected 23 shots on goal for the Tigers. Hutchinson incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
