Buffalo hangs on, beats Cambridge/Isanti 3-2Buffalo Civic Center Sat, Jan 12, 2013 The Buffalo Bison beat the Cambridge/Isanti Bluejackets, 3-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. A goal 2:53 into the the first period by Loren Lindvall proved to be the game winner, and powered Buffalo to the victory Jack Patnode provided the assist.The Bison were led by Justin Laven, who finished with one goal. Laven scored 6:50 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Buffalo. Lindvall picked up the assist. Buffalo forced Cambridge/Isanti goalie Jacob Sibell to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Buffalo also got points from Lindvall, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Aaron Rouse also scored for Buffalo. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo were Hunter Bruhn and Gunnar Goodmanson, who contributed one a piece. The Bluejackets did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 12 saves. Cambridge/Isanti was led by Veeti Uuttera, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Uuttera scored 16:06 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Buffalo. Collin Anderson provided the assist. Cambridge/Isanti also got a goal from Elliott Simon as well. In addition, Cambridge/Isanti received assists from Mitch Renstrom, who had one. Mikey Otten rejected 12 shots on goal for the Bison. Buffalo incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Sibell recorded 36 saves for the Bluejackets. Cambridge/Isanti incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities.
