Zachery Mudge netted a hat trick to lead Florida Eels over Atlanta Jr. Knights, 3-1. Mudge got on the scoresheet 3:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 22:33 into the first and at 1:39 into the second.Florida Eels' Hunter Fernandez was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 34 saves and let only one puck past him. Fernandez certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.56 entering the contest. Florida Eels was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play. Other players who recorded assists for Florida Eels were Vasili Malliaras, who had one, Brien Thompson, who had two, and Tom Doverhjelm, who had three. Atlanta Jr. Knights could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Atlanta Jr. Knights averages 4.0 goals per game. Florida Eels was unable to stop Atlanta Jr. Knights from sending pucks towards the net, and Atlanta Jr. Knights eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.
