Behind a great game by Brandon Christopher, who had two goals and one assist, the Ayr Centennials defeated the Hagersville Hawks, 7-2.

Christopher's tallies came at 10:16 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Ayr and on the power play 2:47 into the third to make the score 6-2 Ayr.

Hagersville's power play was ineffective against Ayr's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Centennials made the Hawks' goaltenders to work in net, getting 37 shots and forcing 30 saves. Trevor Fleming made 23 stops and Matt Murphy made seven. Ayr put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hagersville to score on any of its 13 power plays.
