The Hagersville Hawks opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 10-2 over the Norfolk Rebels. Hagersville got the win with help from a great game by Kyle Parsons, who had two goals and one assist. Parsons scored the first of his two goals at 1:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hagersville. Mitch Green provided the assist. Parsons' next tally made the score 10-2 Hagersville with 2:54 left in the third period. Green assisted on the tally. The Hawks made Norfolk's goalies to work without much rest, totaling 58 shots and forcing 48 saves. Alex Tipping made four stops and Jason Miller made 44. Hagersville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Rebels to score on any of their four power plays. The Hawks found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Hagersville averages 5.0 goals per game. Hagersville additionally got points from Nick Halliday, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Green, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Cole Martin, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Rob Clause, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Hagersville also had goals scored by Derek Medeiros, who had two and Dan Stewart and Ryan McLaren, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Hagersville were Jacob Brown, who had one and Deacan Krause, who had four. Norfolk could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Norfolk also got a goal from Nate Parker as well. In addition, Norfolk received assists from Chris Murray, who had one. Matt Murphy rejected 20 shots on goal for the Hawks. Hagersville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
