Lambeth blows out Port Stanley, 5-0

The Lambeth Lancers had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the Port Stanley Sailors.

Lambeth was sparked by Brandon Robbins, who finished with one goal and one assist. Robbins scored 9:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Warren Hargraves picked up the assist.

The Lancers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Lambeth was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Lancers gives up 2.2 goals on average per game. Port Stanley was unable to stop Lambeth from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lancers eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

Lambeth additionally got points from Hargraves, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Lambeth included Mitch Thomas, who had one and Dale Morningstar, who had two. More assists for Lambeth came via Mike Golinowski, who had two and Nick West, Tanner Smith, Mitch Furlonger, and Riley Gilmore, who each chipped in one.

The Sailors stifled Lambeth's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Port Stanley was held below its usual level of production. The Sailors put an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game.

JP Trudell rejected 23 shots on goal for the Lancers. Lambeth incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brandon Garner recorded 34 saves for Port Stanley. The Sailors incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
