Liam Gillooly lifted the Dorchester Dolphins to a 7-2 victory with a hat trick against the North Middlesex Stars. Gillooly got on the scoresheet 46 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 5:01 into the third and at 11:44 into the third.Dorchester stifled North Middlesex's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Dolphins kept the Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Swartzentruber made 37 saves on 44 shots. Dorchester's goal total was higher than its season average. The Dolphins average 4.7 goals per game. Dorchester also got points from Chad Brulotte, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Connor McKay also scored for Dorchester. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Brady Veroughstraete, Tyler Blue, Tyler Vere, Matt Cormier, Brett VanDusen, and Jacob Baribeau, who each chipped in one and Patrick Freel and Brendon O Shaughnessy, who contributed two a piece. North Middlesex was helped by Jordan Drury, who registered one goal. Drury scored 3:27 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tommy Prokes assisted on the tally. North Middlesex also got a goal from Josh DenOtter as well. Other players who recorded assists for North Middlesex were Mike Sharpe and Cody Wuytenburg, who each chipped in one. Dorchester's Alex Hutcheson stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Dolphins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
