Lambeth rolls over Exeter, 5-2

The Exeter Hawks had trouble finding ways to stop the Lambeth Lancers, which beat Hawks, 5-2.

Warren Hargraves was all over the ice for Lambeth, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Hargraves scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 5:33 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Lambeth. The Lancers had gained a power play chance when Cam Jude was whistled for high sticking. Tanner Smith picked up the assist. Hargraves' next tally on the power play made the score 4-1 Lambeth with 19:33 left in the third period. Ryan Pennington assisted on the tally.

Exeter's power play was ineffective against Lambeth's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Lancers' offense rang up 41 shots on the Hawks' net.

Lambeth additionally got points from Mike Golinowski, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Josh Bumpus also scored for Lambeth. More assists for Lambeth came via Justin Clark, who had one and Mitch Furlonger and Riley Gilmore, who each chipped in two.

Lambeth was unable to stop Exeter from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hawks eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Exeter was helped by Dylan Bedard, who grabbed one goal. Bedard scored on the power play 16:13 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lambeth. Jude picked up the assist. Exeter also got a goal from Alex Deluce as well. In addition, Exeter received assists from Cam Purdy, Mitch Wild, and Matthew McLellan, who contributed one a piece.

JP Trudell rejected 33 shots on goal for the Lancers. Lambeth incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Hawks' Bryan Paolotto stopped 36 shots out of the 41 that he faced. Exeter incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
