The Hagersville Hawks relied on the scoring touch of Jacob Erwin, who netted two goals, to beat the Wellesley Applejacks, 6-3.

Erwin's tallies came at 11:48 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Hagersville and 13:40 into the second to make the score 4-2 Hagersville.

Hagersville kept Wellesley's goalie busy throughout the game, and Josh Heer made 40 saves on 46 shots.

Hagersville additionally got points from Hayden Baird, who also registered one goal and one assist and Derek Medeiros, who also had two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Rob Clause also scored for Hagersville. Other players who recorded assists for Hagersville were Eric Drehmer, Nick Halliday, Jesse Ross, and Jake Reichheld, who each chipped in one.

The Applejacks were helped by Tyler Eckert, who racked up one goal. Eckert scored 12:07 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Hagersville. Reid Denstedt picked up the assist. Wellesley also got a goal from Troy Williams as well. More assists for Wellesley came via Mark Detzler and Cody Tapsell, who contributed one a piece.

Justin Paccheco recorded 20 saves for the Hawks. Hagersville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Wellesley incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
