Schacht's big game bests Wellesley in 4-1 Tavistock win

Andrew Schacht had two goals and one assist to lead the Tavistock Braves to a 4-1 victory over the Wellesley Applejacks.

Schacht scored at 6:27 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Tavistock and again while 19:15 into the third to make the score 4-1 Tavistock.

Tavistock's offense rang up 37 shots on Wellesley's net.

Tavistock also got points from Mac Kalbfleisch, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tyson Zehr AP also scored for Tavistock. More assists for Tavistock came via Matthew Lupton, Derek Cowing, and Jordan Ritsma, who contributed one a piece.

The Applejacks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Tavistock power plays. Wellesley's offense operated below it season average. The Applejacks average 3.1 goals per game.

Wellesley was led by Luke Rose, who scored the team's only goal. Rose scored 17:49 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Steve Tait picked up the assist.

Tim Parker rejected 18 shots on goal for the Braves. Josh Heer recorded 33 saves for the Applejacks. Wellesley incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
