Jordan's hat trick boosts East Coast Eagles over Potomac Patriots, 5-3

Russell Jordan netted a hat trick to lead East Coast Eagles over Potomac Patriots, 5-3.

Jordan got on the scoresheet 7:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:02 into the second and at 10:44 into the third.

East Coast Eagles' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Potomac Patriots power plays. East Coast Eagles surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, East Coast Eagles averages 2.2 goals per contest.

Ryan Sullivan also scored for East Coast Eagles. Other players who recorded assists for East Coast Eagles were Nathan Margets, who had two.

Potomac Patriots was helped by Alexander Grose, who grabbed one goal. Grose scored 16:29 into the first period to make the score 2-1 East Coast Eagles. Kevin McDonald picked up the assist. Potomac Patriots also got a goal from Nicholas Gray as well. In addition, Potomac Patriots received assists from Andrew Turgeon, Nathan Marks, and Travis Reece, who contributed one a piece.

Bryan Canter rejected 21 shots on goal for East Coast Eagles. East Coast Eagles incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Potomac Patriots' starting goalie, Garrett Forrest, made nine saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Alec Yutzler, who stopped 12 shots. Potomac Patriots incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
