Simons' hat trick boosts Palm Beach Hawks over Tampa Juniors, 5-2

Tampa Juniors could not stop Palm Beach Hawks' Jake Simons, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Simons got on the scoresheet 2:08 into the third period. He then added goals at 8:19 into the third and at 8:38 into the third.

Palm Beach Hawks made Tampa Juniors' goalies to work between the pipes, launching 37 shots and forcing 32 saves. Nicholas Malvin made 28 stops and Braxton Schulz made four. Palm Beach Hawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Tampa Juniors to score on any of its four power plays. Palm Beach Hawks outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Palm Beach Hawks averages 2.9 goals per contest.

Palm Beach Hawks additionally got points from Nick Aleva, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Brandon Desrosiers also scored for Palm Beach Hawks. In addition, Palm Beach Hawks received assists from CJ Hoy, who had two and Kevin Mansolill, Chip DeFelice, Joe Duoba, and Matt Geib, who each chipped in one.
