Atlanta Jr. Knights outlasts Space Coast Hurricanes, 4-2Panthers Ice Den Sun, Dec 16, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Atlanta Jr. Knights escaped with a 4-2 victory over Space Coast Hurricanes. Atlanta Jr. Knights gained the winning advantage on a goal by William Bray 4:18 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. Atlanta Jr. Knights was efficient when it shot the puck, scoring its goals on only four shots. Atlanta Jr. Knights was led by Bray, who had one goal. Atlanta Jr. Knights also got a goal from Jeremy Bost as well. More assists for Atlanta Jr. Knights came via Jordan Simmonds, Brent Wilcox, and Aaron Blaker, who each chipped in one and Aaron Dusek and Nick Webb, who contributed two a piece. Space Coast Hurricanes did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting two shots on net to force zero saves. Space Coast Hurricanes was helped by Ryan Sanders, who tallied one goal. Sanders scored on the power play 8:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Space Coast Hurricanes. Space Coast Hurricanes had gotten the advantage when Atlanta Jr. Knights' Bost was sent off for tripping. Crissostomos Villarreal provided the assist. Brian Hurley also scored for Space Coast Hurricanes. In addition, Space Coast Hurricanes received assists from Keegan Finn and Griffin Rogers, who each chipped in one. Atlanta Jr. Knights incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Space Coast Hurricanes incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
