Bryan Canter had a standout game with 42 saves, and East Coast Eagles beat Hampton Roads Whalers 2-1.

East Coast Eagles was sparked by Richard Hudzik, who racked up one goal. Hudzik scored on the power play 9:28 into the third period to make the score 2-1 East Coast Eagles. East Coast Eagles had gotten the advantage when Hampton Roads Whalers' Christopher Haynes was sent off for high sticking. Edward Parsons assisted on the tally.

East Coast Eagles put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hampton Roads Whalers to score on any of its five power plays. East Coast Eagles kept Hampton Roads Whalers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brett Kilar made 40 saves on 42 shots.
