Potomac Patriots tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Hampton Roads Whalers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Hampton Roads Whalers made the score 3-1 on a goal by Dylan Woods at 19:18 in the second period, and Potomac Patriots got as close as 3-2 when Andrew Turgeon scored 6:50 into the third period. Hampton Roads Whalers got the win thanks to a great game by Matthew Zendejas, who had one goal and two assists.
