Florida Eels beats Space Coast Hurricanes 8-2 as Wink gets hat trick

Fredrik Wink netted a hat trick to lead Florida Eels over Space Coast Hurricanes, 8-2.

Wink got on the scoresheet 19:46 into the first period. He then added goals at 3:59 into the third and at 20:00 into the third.

Florida Eels made Space Coast Hurricanes' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 57 shots and forcing 49 saves. Parker Bonis made 15 stops and Jeremy Laux made 34. Florida Eels excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Florida Eels' goal total was higher than its season average. Florida Eels averages 3.6 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Florida Eels also got points from Trent McDougall, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Daniel Filler, who also registered one goal and three assists, and Brien Thompson, who also had one goal and two assists. Florida Eels also got a goal from Tom Doverhjelm as well. In addition, Florida Eels received assists from Joey Colatarci, who had two and Jordy John, Steven Prince, and Xavier Carrillo, who each chipped in one.

Space Coast Hurricanes struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 28 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays.

Hunter Fernandez rejected 26 shots on goal for Florida Eels. Florida Eels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
