Hampton Roads Whalers rolls over East Coast Eagles, 6-3

Hampton Roads Whalers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over East Coast Eagles.

Hampton Roads Whalers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow East Coast Eagles to score on any of its five power plays. Hampton Roads Whalers forced East Coast Eagles goalie Bryan Canter to work between the pipes, taking 55 shots. Hampton Roads Whalers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Hampton Roads Whalers averages 3.9 goals per contest.

Hampton Roads Whalers was helped by Artur Raevskiy, who tallied two goals. Raevskiy scored the first of his two goals at 3:39 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Hampton Roads Whalers.
