Chrenko's hat trick boosts Fassa over Ritten, 5-3Gianmario Scola Thu, Mar 01, 2012 Ritten could not stop Fassa's Tomas Chrenko, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-3 win. Chrenko notched his first tally 2:56 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:54 into the third and at 15:20 into the third.Fassa led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Fassa's Trevor Kell's scored at 37 seconds in the second period to put Fassa up 3-0. Fassa made the most of it opportunities with a man advantage, slotting home two goals while Ritten was on the penalty kill. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with four goals. Fassa also got points from Daniel Sullivan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Fassa received assists from Diego Iori, who had three, Francis Doyle and Enrico Chelodi, who contributed one a piece, and Devid Piffer and Thomas Dantone, who each chipped in two. Fassa's Doyle stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Fassa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Karol Krizan made six saves before being replaced by Josef Niederstatter, who took the loss and made nine saves. Ritten incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
