Cole Vinnai grabbed one point to lead the Norwich Merchants to a 6-3 victory over the Paris Mounties. The win by Norwich clinched the best of seven series at 4-2. The Merchants excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Paris was unable to stop Norwich from sending pucks towards the net, and the Merchants eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Norwich also got points from Drake Morrell, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Norwich included Tom Brady, who had two and Todd Poirier and Wes StAmand, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Norwich were Jake Jefferies and Jon Percival, who each chipped in one and Curtis Logan and Bryan Phillips, who contributed two a piece. The Mounties were helped by Bryan Warner, who had one goal. Warner scored 5:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Paris. Mitch Atkins assisted on the tally. Atkins and Ian Fowler registered the assists on the goal. Paris additionally got points from Fowler, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Jay Doherty also scored for Paris. More assists for Paris came via Jordy Schneider, who had one. Matt McGonigle rejected 20 shots on goal for Norwich. The Merchants incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Travis Elvin recorded 25 saves for Paris. The Mounties incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
