GLSCL statement concerning
North Division playoff selection
The GLSCL shares the frustration of the Clippers fan base at the end of their season.
The league, through its policies and procedures, has made a commitment to the players and their college programs that the season would end on a specific date to facilitate physical and mental rest before fall baseball begins.
We choose to use win percentage as a decider because, unfortunately, not all of our facilities are turfed.
To facilitate fairness, on the last day two teams play, the league office (present in Lima on Saturday) makes the final playing decisions in case of weather etc.
All of these policies and procedures were decided by team vote, in the off season and were administered as stated.
