Date: Jul 26, 2025
The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) announces the Week 7 Player & Pitcher of the Week honors, including honorable mentions for the week concluding on Sunday, July 20th.
This week, the NECBL is proud to select UTIL Nate Lincoln (Marist) from the Bristol Blues, and pitcher Andrew Lepine (Stetson) from the Keene SwampBats. Both Lepine and Lincoln have helped their teams achieve four and five-game winning streaks, respectively, as Keene and Bristol sit in first place in the North and South divisions with just one full week remaining before the playoffs.
Lincoln has been on a tear this week for Bristol, recording 10 hits in 16 at-bats. Playing in four games, he reached base at least three times in all four, notching five RBIs in the process. He was crucial in the Blues’ tight 6-3 win over the Ocean State Waves with two RBIs, and finished the game with three hits.
Lepine was dominant as Keene’s top reliever this week, appearing in three games. The right-hander tossed seven innings across the three contests, giving up just four hits and one earned run. He also struck out seven while only walking one, dropping his season ERA to 3.54.
Both the SwampBats and Blues will rely on Lincoln and Lepine as they look to bring this momentum to the NECBL Playoffs. Keene sits comfortably atop the North Division with a 26-11 record, while Bristol has jumped the Newport Gulls for the South Division’s top spot amidst their winning streak. They currently sit 24-12, 2.5 games in front of Newport.
