Winter Garden Squeeze Move to 11 Wins After Crucial 4-1 De...
Date: Jul 14, 2025
Orlando, Fl. - The Orlando Snappers fell to the Winter Garden Squeeze for the second straight time this season, this time 4-1.
The first five innings were all about the pitchers with Orlando getting just two hits while the Squeeze managed to pick up only one.
In the bottom of the sixth, however, Winter Garden broke loose taking a 2-0 lead off a 2-RBI double with 2 away.
Orlando immediately struck back in the top of the seventh, cutting their deficit in half with a Hayden Gustavson (LA Tech) moonshot towards the left field side that left the yard in a hurry.
The Squeeze were not faced by that power, as they managed to get that run back in the bottom of the inning to take a 3-1 lead.
Their advantage increased to 4-1 after scoring 1 more run in the 8th.
Orlando’s offense tried igniting a spark in the 9th inning, but the Squeeze blew out the candles to cut out any potential offensive explosions to begin the last week of the regular season.
Brett Dennis (Undecided) had a masterclass performance on the mound throwing 3 1-hit innings while walking just 1 and striking out 1.
His team’s offense will look to get going on Tuesday, July 15th, when they take on the Sanford River Rats in a double header. Game 1 is slated for 4:30pm with the second game to follow.
