Lynn, MA – The North Shore Navigators jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, cruising to a 10-1 victory over the North Adams SteepleCats for their fourth win in a row.
North Shore struck in the bottom of the first on an RBI triple from Alex Marot (Charleston Southern), who later came home on a sacrifice fly from Michael Perazza (FAU) to put the Navigators ahead 2-0. The Gulls would add another run in the bottom of the fifth on a Jack Gold (Pomona-Pitzer) RBI single, scoring Jack Rickheim (Harvard) to extend the lead to three.
The next inning was big for the Navigators, as a Simmi Whitehill (Monmouth) single to left scored Jaydon Aukai Kea (Vanderbilt) and Davis Baker (Penn). Whitehill then scored on a sacrifice fly, putting the Navigators ahead 6-0.
North Shore had another big inning in the eighth, as Baker doubled to left, scoring Marot and Jesse Jaconski (Penn St). Baker scored alongside Nater Wachter (UConn) on a Rickheim single, increasing the North Shore lead to double digits.
