The Midnight Sun Game has taken place since 1906.  The tradition has been a Fairbanks staple many years before the Goldpanners took it over.

"We inherited it.  That was taking place 50 years before the Goldpanners ever existed." Goldpanners General Manager John Lohrke said.

"It's a great tradition to carry on," Lohrke said.
