CAMBRIDGE, Ont. – Mike passed away at the age of 75 on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Loving husband of JoAnne (nee Lavin) for 53 years. Loving Dad to Jeff (Sandy) and Michelle. Beloved Grandpa to Abby, Maya, Michael, and Liam. Survived by brothers Barry, Kelly, and Kevin and cherished Aunt Colleen Harvey. Eldest son of the late Gerry and Barbara Duggan (nee O’Halloran). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Mike started in the Group Insurance business in October 1967 with Imperial Life. Transferred to Vancouver in 1971, returning to Toronto in 1976. Founded Duggan Benefits Insurance Agencies Inc. in 1983. Sold Duggan Benefits to KEFSI in May 2017. Started Duggan Financial Services Inc. at that time. Truly enjoyed providing ethical and honest service to his many clients.
Played hockey until signing up to be a referee in Maple Ridge BC in 1973. He was referee #65 in BC. Joined the MTHL/EHA referee staff in 1976 and the Ontario Hockey Association in 1977. Refereed in the OHA for 14 years and then became an OHA Referee Supervisor through 2012. Became Referee in Chief of the Streetsville Hockey League and Referee in Chief of the Toronto Township Old Timers Hockey League through 2020, when he retired from active refereeing.
