The Cape Catfish hosted the O’Fallon Hoots at Capaha Park on Thursday, July 29.
Curtis Washington Jr put the first run on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning from a single by Giovanni Del Negro.
The ‘Fish scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth with a double from DJ Wright that put Del Negro across and a double from Kolten Poorman that put Wright across.
Washington Jr scored another run in the bottom of the fifth from a sacrifice fly to left field hit by Del Negro. The Hoots put their first score on the board in the top of the sixth with a home run from Colin Bergmann.
In the bottom of the seventh, Andrew Stone hit a triple that put Washington Jr and Dalton McNamara across. A single from Del Negro put Stone over home plate.
A wild pitch from the Hoots put Seth Johnson across in the bottom of the eighth. Then, a triple from Diego Johnson put Stone and Mason Speirs over home plate.
The Catfish beat the Hoots with a final score of 10-1. The Catfish will host the Hoots at Capaha Park again on Sunday, August 1.
