The Cape Catfish slayed the Alton River Dragons at Capaha Park on Sunday, July 18. 

 

The River Dragons scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning from Nick Neibauer and Blake Burris. 

 

The Catfish put runs across in the second, third, fourth, fifth, and eighth innings. Giovanni Del Negro started things off with a home run in the bottom of the second inning. Andrew Stone followed suit with a home run in the bottom of the third. Ellison Hanna and Del Negro also put runs across in the bottom of the third inning. 

 

In the bottom of the fourth, Stone scored a run and Diego Johnson hit a home run. DJ Wright put one across in the bottom of the fifth and Diego Johnson scored one run in the bottom of the eighth. Out of 13 hits, the Catfish had three home runs. The final score of the game was 8-2. The Catfish will host the O’Fallon Hoots at Capaha Park on Tuesday, July 20.
