The Cape Catfish hosted the O’Fallon Hoots at Capaha Park on Wednesday, June 30 to secure a placement in division playoffs. 

The game was tense in the eighth with both teams tied at 2 runs. In the eighth inning, there was a 30-minute rain delay due to lightning.

The Hoots put runs on the board first in the top of the third from Nick Hofmann and Cade Hohl. The Catfish scored in the fifth with a run from Cameron Rountree and in the eighth with a run from Andrew Stone. The Hoots put one across in the top of the ninth from JT Maery, which gave them the win.
