The Cape Catfish hosted the Burlington Bees at Capaha Park on Saturday, June 26. The Catfish travelled to face the Bees in two away games, winning both games.
The Catfish started off with number 12 Hunter Ralls on the pitcher’s mound. Ralls threw a no-hitter through the fourth inning, and was replaced by number 6 Mason Gehling in the top of the eighth inning after reaching the pitch limit.
The Bees’ first score came from a home run by Marcos Sanchez, who hit the ball over the Southeast Health Home Run Deck. The Bees scored another run in the sixth and eighth.
The ‘Fish did not put any runs on the board until the bottom of the eighth inning, when Andrew Stone hit a home run. Diego Johnson hit a single, followed by a single from Mason Speirs and a walk from Kolten Poorman. Speirs was replaced on second by pinch runner Grayson Taylor. Seth Johnson hit a single for two RBIs from Johnson and Taylor to tie the game 3-3.
In the bottom of the eleventh, with bases loaded, Diego Johnson walked to first. The final score of the game was 4-3.
The Catfish will face off against the Burlington Bees at Capaha Park on Sunday, June 27.
