Hockey Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that Glace Bay Minor Hockey Association president James Edwards is the recipient of our 2021 Minor Council Award of Merit. 

For many years, James has been a familiar face in the Cape Breton minor hockey community.

As the longtime president of the Glace Bay Minor Hockey Association, James has led a number of initiatives aimed at making the sport more affordable and accessible for his members. One of the longest serving minor hockey association presidents in the province, his association was the recipient of the first-everChevrolet Good Deeds Cup in 2017. 

Over the year, James has given up countless hours to promoting the growth of hockey in his community.
