The Big Sticks faced off with the Mining City Tommyknockers for the rubber match of their three-game series in Butte.

Joe Harris received the ball as he was the starting pitcher for the Big Sticks, going up against him, for the Tommyknockers, was Zach Camp.

The Big Sticks got the scoring started in the first frame on an Angel De La Cruz two-run home run that was clobbered over the left-field fence.

After a couple of quiet innings, the Tommyknockers struck in a big way in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases-loaded and no outs, Judah Wilbur drove in two on a single followed by a Seth Lucero fly ball to score one more. Then, Carter Dobrinski blasted a two-run homer of his own to put the Tommyknockers up 5-2.

The Big Sticks responded in the next frame with a big inning of their own started by Joe Osborn continuing his hot-streak with a two-run bomb to score Setian. Gellos, Stafford, and Lundmark proceeded to rattle off three straight singles before De La Cruz drove in one on a sacrifice fly to center, and Matt Olive brought two more home on a double. Matt Olive came around to score on a wild pitch for the sixth run of the inning to put the Big Sticks back up 8-5.

The Tommyknockers were only able to score their runs in the big fourth inning as Joe Harris shutout them down through seven innings and relievers Matt Slowik and Kenny Stewart each tosses a scoreless inning of their own.

The Big Sticks added two more runs in the eight on a bases-loaded walk to Lundmark and another sacrifice fly for De La Cruz, his fourth RBI of the day.

This allowed the Big Sticks to cruise to victory and take the series finale over the Tommyknockers. The Sticks scored 10 runs on 14 hits with no errors, and the Tommyknocker scored 5 runs on 9 hits with no errors. Joe Harris was able to earn his second win on the year and Zach Camp was tagged for his second loss.

The Sticks now move to 2-1 on the second half and 19-4 overall, while the Tommyknockers fall to 2-2 on the second half as well as 18-17 on the year.
