The Catfish faced off against the Clinton LumberKings in a tight game on Tuesday, June 15.
The game was a no-hitter until the bottom of the eighth when Jackson Campbell hit a single. Colton Weber took the mound first for the Catfish, striking out nine of the LumberKings. Weber reached the pitch limit and was followed by number 4 Austin Brock. Brock also reached the pitch limit, and had one strikeout against Clinton. Korey Bunselmeyer was the last to take the mound.
The LumberKings had four hits throughout the game. The first scores put on the board came in the bottom when Cape’s number 25 Cameron Rountree hit a walk-off home run that also put Andrew Stone over home plate. The final score was 2-0. The ‘Fish will play Clinton again at Capaha Park on Wednesday, June 16.
