2024 River Dragons Winter Meeting Tickets On Sale Now

The Cape Catfish played the Alton River Dragons in a third consecutive game at Capaha Park on Sunday, June 13.
The Catfish made some significant defensive plays throughout the game, especially in the seventh inning. Diego Johnson made a diving play to save a run while DJ Wright came in with no outs, River Dragons on first and second base, and did not give up a run. Earlier, in the top of the third inning, number 55 Seth Johnson made an outfield assist for a runner out at third.
The River Dragons put two runs on the scoreboard in the top of the third, and one in the top of the fourth inning. The Catfish followed by putting one across in the bottom of the fifth and another in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The game took a turn in favor of the Catfish in the bottom of the eighth. Christopher Jordan hit a single in the bottom of the eighth that brought Mason Speirs and Cameron Rountree over home plate and gave the ‘Fish the lead. Andrew Stone then hit a triple that gave Christopher Jordan and Diego Johnson runs.
