REX Overtake Catfish in Second Game at Capaha

The Catfish hosted the Terre Haute REX in a second game at Capaha Park on Saturday, June 5. 

 

It was a tight game for the Catfish and the REX, who were tied up 7-7 going into the eighth inning. 

 

Jalen Borders started off on the mound for the ‘Fish, throwing a no-hitter for the first four innings. The Catfish scored one run in the first, third, fourth, seventh, and eighth innings, and two runs in sixth. 

 

The REX scored one run in the sixth and seventh, two runs in the fifth and ninth, and three runs in the eighth. The REX started the top of the ninth by walking the bases loaded, scoring two runs. These runs would break the tie and leave the game with a final score of 9-7. 

 

The Catfish will host the Normal CornBelters in the first of a three-game lineup at Capaha Park on Tuesday, June 8.
