Hoots Dominate Fourth Inning

The Cape Catfish faced the O’Fallon Hoots at Capaha Park on Wednesday, June 2. The game ended in a mercy rule after the bottom of the seventh inning. The Hoots scored 12 runs in the fourth inning, for a score of 16-0. 

 

The Hoots started off strong with 4 runs in the first inning after Elias Stevens hit a home run with bases loaded. Neither team scored in the second, fifth, or seventh innings. In the top of the sixth inning, the Hoots earned two runs from Cade Hohl and Brett Johnson. 

 

The Catfish earned one run in the bottom of the fourth inning when an RBI from Nolan Self allowed Kolten Poorman to score, which made the final score of the match 16-1.
