The Cape Catfish started the first home game of the 2021 season in a battle of the pitchers against the O’Fallon Hoots on May 28 at Capaha Park.

Gates to the park opened at 6 pm to cool, windy weather. The game would exhibit strong defense from both teams, neither the Sliders nor the Catfish scored during regular game time. In fact, neither team scored in the 10th inning, either. The matchup came to an exciting end when Catfish catcher #7 Nolan Self hit a home run in the bottom of the 11th inning, giving the Catfish a win over the Hoots with a final score of 1-0.

The Catfish will face the Springfield Sliders at home on Saturday, May 29 at 7:05 pm. To purchase tickets in advance visit http://www.capecatfish.com/view/capecatfish/ticket-info
